Palliative Care SA 2024 Conference Wrap Up

Keynote Speakers

Dr Julian Abel (UK)

Julian is the founder of the international Compassionate Community movement. A retired palliative care physician, co-author of the Oxford Textbook of Public Health Palliative Care and founder of the Survival of the Kindest Podcast.

Professor Ken Hillman (NSW)

Ken is an intensive care specialist with research interest including health systems reform and end of life care. Ken was appointed as the first Professor of Intensive Care in the UNSW and is the author of the book “A good life until the end”.

Camilla Rowland (ACT)

Camilla Rowland (EMBA GAICD) is the Chief Executive Officer of Palliative Care Australia (PCA), joining PCA in May 2021. For over 30 years she has worked in the Australian health and community service sectors in CEO, executive, clinical, and educational roles.

Sarah Brown (NT) 

Chief Executive Officer of Purple House and has been helping the Indigenous Directors to run the organisation since its inception more than twenty one years ago.  In 2017 she was Hesta’s Australia’s Nurse of the Year. In 2018 she made it to the BOSS magazine’s ‘True Leaders’ list.

  • I would you like to book for 10 or more?
    • We will provide you with a 5% discount and you don’t need to tell us the names of who is attending until 2 weeks before the event
  • I would like an invoice to organise for my work to pay, how do I organise this?
  • Can I refund or swap my ticket to another name?
    • You can refund your ticket up to 50% of the ticket cost up to 30 days prior the event. There is the availability to transfer the ticket to another name.
  • I’m not sure if I am a current PCSA Individual Member, how can I find this out?
  • What’s included in my registration
    • Attendance includes the full day ticket cost of the speaker schedule,  all day catering, the awards ceremony and a certificate of attendance.
  • Can I purchase a ticket just for the awards ceremony
    • Yes these are $50 and a separate ticket option.
    • Note this is included in your ticket but you might want family and friends to come to the ceremony.
