Talk. Listen. Connect.
About TLC Connector Workshops
Tackling Loneliness, the impact of grief and improving connections
Talk Listen Connect (TLC) is a citizen activation training program. We aim to support as many people as possible to take part in our TLC workshops, build their skills and confidence making a difference in their community, workplace and neighbourhood.
We believe in a world where there are millions of people who are creating and supporting social connections for people who are feeling lonely and isolated.
Anyone can be part of Talk Listen Connect; hairdressers, taxi drivers, shop staff, bar staff, in business, in schools anyone who is in contact with people.
The TLC Connector Training has been developed by Compassionate Communities UK. PCSA has permission to lead this in South Australia.

What TLC Connector Training is not
Someone involved in Talk Listen Connect is not providing ‘counselling’, they are not trying to ‘fix’ people.
They are simply being alongside, listening and possibly connecting to activities in the local community.
This is not a formal volunteering role – option to wear your Talk Listen Connect badge when you want to, when you are open to someone chatting with you.
Our workshop provide basic guidance on issues relating to personal safety and also what to do if you are concerned about an individual’s mental health.
