Compassionate Community Conversations

The Full Report will be launched at the 2024 PCSA Conference in June

Compassionate Communities Charter SA

Compassionate Communities – recognize the 95% rule: 95% of the time that anyone who is dying, caregiving or grieving is spent outside formal episodes of professional services. It is the responsibility of communities of all stripe to address the support needs of that 95%.

The CCSA program is keen to work with Governments, Local Councils, Businesses, Schools/Universities, NGOs, Faith Organisations and Community Groups to sign to a SA Compassionate Communities Charter and for SA to become a Compassionate State.

If you are interested in getting involved please contact us.

Nurturing Compassionate Communities in Country SA & Adelaide projects

To support this expanding public health palliative care movement, PCSA established the Compassionate Communities SA (CCSA) program in early 2023 to work with community groups, local governments, health services and individuals to nurture a compassionate communities approach across the state.

Within this CCSA program there are a number of projects including:

  • ‘Nurturing Compassionate Communities in Country SA project’ funded by Country SA Primary Health Network (PHN)
  • ‘Nurturing Compassionate Communities in Adelaide project’ funded by Adelaide PHN.
