On 14 October 2025, Palliative Care South Australia marked a significant milestone: 40 years of service to the South Australian community. The occasion was celebrated with a special reception at Government House, hosted by His Excellency the Honourable Chief Justice Chris Kourakis, Deputy Governor of South Australia. 

Thank you to The Honourable Christopher Picton MP, The Honourable Nat Cook MP and Mr Josh Teague MP for joining us, and to all Life Members, Board Members, staff, volunteers, current and past members, and sector leaders who stood with us in recognising the importance of palliative care in South Australia. 

The reception brought together individuals and organisations connected to PCSA’s journey, past and present, for an evening of acknowledgment and connection. It was a moment to reflect on four decades of progress and the collective effort behind it. 

 As we reflect on 40 years, we remain committed to helping South Australians live, die and grieve well.
