On Tuesday, 19 August 2025, our CEO, Shyla Mills, was honoured to attend the Parliamentary Friends of Veterans Forum at Parliament House. 

The forum provided an important opportunity to reflect on the unique needs of veterans and their families, and the critical role that planning and support plays throughout their journey. Presentations from Heather Willis, President of Legacy Australia (South Australia & Broken Hill), and Angela Portakiewicz, National Director of the Partners of Veterans Association of Australia, reinforced the importance of care, connection and ongoing support for veterans and their loved ones. 

PCSA extends its sincere thanks to Hon Sarah Game MLC, Hon Joe Szakacs MP, and Hon Adrian Pederick MP for bringing these conversations into the heart of Parliament House and continuing to shine a light on the experiences of veterans and their families.
