Last Aid and Talk.Listen.Connect (TLC) Connector Trainings

From 2–5 March, our team travelled across Country South Australia to deliver Last Aid and Talk Listen Connect (TLC) Connector trainings in local communities. From the coastal charm of Tumby Bay to the historic streets of Quorn, the week was spent connecting with community members and sharing practical skills to support people through serious illness, grief, and caregiving.

The week kicked off on 2 March in Tumby Bay R.S.L. with a Last Aid session, giving community members practical skills to support loved ones at the end of life. On 3 March in Cleve Golf Club, participants joined a TLC Connector session, learning to talk, listen, and connect with people experiencing illness, grief, or caregiving challenges. 4 March saw a similar Last Aid session in Port Augusta, reinforcing confidence and understanding in providing compassionate care. The road trip wrapped up on 5 March in Quorn with another TLC Connector session, equipping residents with practical strategies to support each other within their communities.

A sincere thank you to everyone who attended, and to our generous venue partners for hosting.

We are extremely grateful to Country SA PHN, whose funding made these programs possible and helped bring these essential trainings to regional South Australia. These trainings help communities across Country SA gain confidence, connection, and compassion when supporting loved ones.
